Getting Started
- Type in the search field. Out of the box the app searches the Internet Archive and LinuxTracker; every source that is on is searched at once and copies of the same torrent are merged.
- Tap the magnet glyph on a result to open it in the app that handles magnet links on your device, such as Transmission Pocket. Tap the result itself for details: seeders, size, info hash, trackers and files.
- Tap the Sources button (the stack icon) to turn sources on or off, and Add Source to add more: the official torrent pages of Linux distributions, your own Jackett or Prowlarr server, an RSS feed, a JSON API, or any site with a search box.
Adding Your Own Server
- Jackett: copy the Torznab feed address from the Jackett dashboard, open Add Source and tap Paste. The app recognises the feed, moves the API key into the Keychain and lets you test it before adding.
- Prowlarr: copy an indexer's Torznab URL and paste it the same way, with the API key from Settings → General.
- Any site: in Safari, search the site for a word, copy the address of the results page and paste it. The app swaps your word for {query} so every search fills in your own.
Troubleshooting
A source shows a red chip above the results
- Tap the chip to see why. Usually the address is wrong, the API key has changed, or the server is offline. Edit Source leads straight to its settings and Test.
- "The indexer failed with …" is the tracker's own reply relayed by Jackett or Prowlarr: open that indexer on their dashboard, fix its login and test it there.
Can't reach Jackett or Prowlarr on your home network?
- When prompted, allow Local Network access. You can also enable it later in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network → Magnet Pocket.
- Be on the same Wi-Fi as the server, or connect through a VPN such as Tailscale. Plain http:// addresses are fine on your own network.
"No App for Magnet Links"
- Nothing on your device opens magnet links yet. Install a torrent app that does, such as Transmission Pocket, or copy the magnet link and paste it into the app you use.
Tips
The tip jar in Settings is optional and unlocks nothing. Tips go through the App Store as In-App Purchases; the developer never sees your payment details.
