Overview
Magnet Pocket ("the app") searches sources you choose for magnet links and hands the one you pick to the torrent app on your device. Your privacy is simple to explain: the app does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to the developer or any third party.
What the App Stores
- The sources you add (their names, addresses and settings) are stored only on your device.
- API keys you enter for a source are kept in the iOS Keychain on your device and are sent only to that source, to authenticate your searches with it.
- Recent searches and app preferences are stored on your device. Recent searches can be cleared in Settings.
What Leaves Your Device
- Your search words are sent to the sources you have turned on, and to no one else. Which sources that is, is entirely your choice.
- When a result only offers a .torrent file, the app downloads that small file from the source to read the magnet link out of it. Nothing else is downloaded.
- Opening a result hands a magnet link to the torrent app you have installed. What that app does with it is governed by its own privacy policy.
- Tips in Settings are In-App Purchases handled entirely by Apple. The app only learns that a purchase completed; it never sees payment details.
What the App Does Not Do
- No analytics, tracking, or advertising.
- No third-party SDKs or data sharing.
- No accounts. No data is sent to the developer.
Data Collection
The app collects no data as defined by Apple's App Privacy guidelines.
